AGARTALA, Aug 12: Tripura has set October 31 as the deadline to fully digitalise healthcare services across the state, an initiative aimed at creating a more connected and efficient public health system.

According to officials, the digital transformation will link healthcare facilities and enable greater use of technology in the delivery and management of medical services.

The initiative is expected to make healthcare information more accessible while improving coordination between different facilities. Digital systems can also help streamline administrative procedures and reduce dependence on paper based records.

Officials said the state is working towards completing the digitalisation process within the October deadline. The move is part of broader efforts to modernise healthcare infrastructure and make public services more efficient.

The transition to digital platforms could benefit both healthcare workers and patients by improving the flow of information between facilities. It is also expected to support more systematic management of patient records and healthcare operations.

Tripura’s initiative comes amid a wider push across India to expand digital health infrastructure and integrate technology into public healthcare delivery.

The state government’s October 31 target is expected to accelerate implementation across healthcare facilities and strengthen the use of digital tools in the delivery of medical services.
