NEW DELHI, Aug 15: Union Health Minister J P Nadda was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, after experiencing uneasiness, hospital authorities said.

Nadda was admitted on Thursday evening and underwent a coronary angiography following his initial medical evaluation. He is currently stable and has been kept under observation in the cardiology department, according to the hospital.

The development comes as the Union Health Minister continues to oversee several major public health initiatives, including programmes focused on expanding healthcare access and strengthening medical infrastructure.

The hospital has not indicated any serious complication in its latest update. Medical specialists are monitoring his condition as part of the routine assessment following the procedure.

Nadda’s hospitalisation has drawn attention given his role in steering the country’s health policy and national healthcare programmes.

The minister’s condition will continue to be monitored by the medical team at AIIMS, with further updates expected from hospital authorities if required.
