New Delhi: India sealed the T20 International series against the West Indies with a commanding performance, producing an impressive display in both batting and bowling to register another convincing victory. The result gave the visitors an unassailable lead, underlining the team’s growing consistency ahead of upcoming international assignments.
After winning the toss, India opted to field first and immediately put the hosts under pressure with disciplined bowling. The pace attack struck early, while the spin department tightened the scoring rate during the middle overs, preventing the West Indies from building meaningful partnerships.
Despite a late surge from the Caribbean lower order, the hosts were restricted to a manageable total. India’s bowlers maintained excellent control throughout the innings, with every frontline bowler contributing wickets.
In reply, the Indian batting unit chased the target with confidence. The opening partnership provided a strong platform before the middle order ensured there were no late setbacks. A composed half-century from one of India’s top-order batters guided the visitors comfortably across the finish line.
The victory reflected India’s balanced squad, with young players continuing to make significant contributions alongside experienced campaigners. Team management praised the players for maintaining intensity throughout the contest.
With the series already secured, India is expected to use the remaining fixture to test its bench strength and provide opportunities to emerging players as preparations continue for major ICC tournaments later this year.
