MUMBAI, Aug 25: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has awarded 620 PhD degrees during the academic year, marking the highest number of doctoral degrees conferred by an IIT in a single academic year.

The institute awarded a total of 3,763 degrees at its latest convocation, reflecting a significant contribution from its postgraduate and research programmes.
