MATHURA (UP), Aug 16: Sonal Shah, wife of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, visited the Mukharbind Temple in Govardhan on Sunday and offered prayers, officials said.

According to Govardhan Station House Officer Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Sonal Shah arrived at the temple and participated in religious rituals under the guidance of the priests.

A significant police presence was deployed around the temple during her visit as part of the security arrangements.

After completing the prayers, Sonal Shah left the temple premises. Several journalists approached her seeking comments on various issues, but she did not respond to questions, the SHO said.

Her visit to Govardhan comes amid the ongoing religious activities at the prominent temple, which attracts devotees from across the country.
