LOS ANGELES, Aug 26: Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming Hollywood survival thriller Reset has encountered a casting setback after actor Orlando Bloom exited the project shortly before production was scheduled to begin.
Chopra had been preparing to headline the film, which is expected to explore a survival driven storyline. With Bloom no longer attached, the makers are now searching for another actor to take up the vacant role.
The unexpected change comes close to the start of filming and could require adjustments to the production schedule and casting arrangements.
The project is among Chopra’s upcoming international screen commitments as she continues to balance work across Indian and global entertainment industries.
The actor has established a substantial presence in Hollywood through projects spanning films and streaming productions, while continuing to remain connected with Indian cinema.
The departure of Bloom has brought fresh attention to Reset even before cameras begin rolling. Details about the replacement casting and revised production plans are expected to emerge as the filmmakers move ahead with the project.
For now, the focus remains on finding a suitable co-star for Chopra and keeping the survival thriller on track for production.
