MUMBAI, Aug 24: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dhanush are reportedly in advanced discussions to headline an upcoming Hindi film associated with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, according to director S Mithran.
The potential collaboration has generated considerable interest as it would bring Kareena and Dhanush together on screen for the first time. Mithran recently addressed speculation surrounding the project while promoting his upcoming film Sardar 2.
Project details remain under discussion
While the discussions are reportedly at an advanced stage, Kareena has not officially signed the film. The project is said to be planned as a mythological jungle adventure, adding another distinctive genre to the actors’ filmographies.
Bhansali is reportedly attached to the project as producer, while Mithran has been linked to the directorial responsibilities.
Possible new pairing draws attention
The proposed casting has sparked curiosity because both actors have established careers across Hindi and regional cinema but have not previously shared the screen.
Dhanush has continued expanding his presence in Hindi films, while Kareena remains one of Bollywood’s prominent leading actors.
With the project yet to receive an official announcement, details regarding its title, production schedule and final cast are still awaited.
