Jammu, August 19, 2026: Under the patronage of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, the Photography Club and Film Club of the University organised a special photography exhibition today to commemorate World Photography Day. The exhibition was held at Aryabhatta Bhawan and brought together photography enthusiasts, students, research scholars, faculty members, and staff from across the University.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu, graced the occasion with his presence and appreciated the creative efforts of the organisers and participants. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Yashwant Singh said, “Photography teaches us to see the world with patience and perspective, capturing moments that words often fail to express.”

The exhibition showcased a diverse and captivating collection of photographs depicting India’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, wildlife, temple architecture, iconic monuments, patriotic imagery, and everyday moments. Each frame reflected the essence of the exhibition, aptly captured in the theme: “Photography is the pause button of life’s best moments.”

The event was convened by Prof. Paramveer Singh, Convenor, who remarked, “This exhibition is a wonderful platform for our students to view the world through their lens and share the stories they discover along the way.” Ms. Pushplata, Dr. Susmita Ekka, and Sh. Fateh Lal Bheel served as Co-Convenors and played a key role in coordinating the exhibition.
