NEW DELHI: India sealed the One Day International series against England with a comprehensive victory, producing an all round performance that highlighted the team’s dominance in both batting and bowling departments.
After being asked to bat, India’s top order laid a solid platform with fluent partnerships before the middle order accelerated the scoring in the closing overs. The balanced innings enabled the hosts to post a challenging total, leaving England with a demanding chase.
India’s bowlers capitalised on the scoreboard pressure from the outset, striking at regular intervals to deny England any chance of building lasting partnerships. Tight spells in the middle overs and disciplined death bowling ensured the visitors never gained momentum.
The convincing win gave India an unbeatable lead in the series, with the final ODI now serving as an opportunity to test bench strength ahead of upcoming international assignments.
The result also underlined India’s growing consistency in the 50 over format, as the team continues to build confidence before major global tournaments.
