LOS ANGELES: Warner Bros. has begun development on a new fantasy adventure franchise as part of its strategy to introduce original intellectual properties to worldwide audiences. The studio is assembling a creative team to build a large-scale cinematic universe featuring new characters and immersive storytelling.
Early development includes script refinement, concept design and discussions with potential directors. The production is expected to combine visual effects, action and fantasy elements to create a theatrical experience aimed at international markets.
Studio executives believe the project has the potential to evolve into a multi-film franchise supported by digital and merchandising opportunities. Casting is expected to begin once the screenplay is finalised and production schedules are confirmed.
More details regarding the title, cast and release plans are likely to be announced after the project enters full-scale production, making it one of Warner Bros.’ most closely watched upcoming ventures.
