New Delhi, Aug. 1: Indian athletes continued their impressive run at the Asian Championships by adding several medals across track and field events, reinforcing the country’s growing stature in continental athletics.

Indian competitors delivered standout performances in sprinting, middle-distance races, and field events, with both experienced campaigners and emerging talents contributing to the medal tally.

Coaches praised the athletes’ consistency and composure under pressure, noting that improved fitness programmes and international exposure have significantly enhanced India’s competitiveness.

The Athletics Federation of India welcomed the performances, describing them as an encouraging sign ahead of major global competitions scheduled later this year.

Several athletes also achieved personal bests during the championship, reflecting the positive impact of sustained training and scientific support systems.

Officials believe the latest success will strengthen India’s preparations for upcoming international events and inspire the next generation of athletes to compete at the highest level.
